Typography experiment. I’m not entirely sure how it came to say metal machine music. It sort of just happened organically. It’s such a bizarre piece of music and i appreciate the  humour around it all. Or maybe the sense of mystery around it. Is it art? possibly. Is it Lou Reed just wanting to get out of his contract? Probably. What it is is two guitars playing feedback to each other for an hour. Not two musicians, literally two guitars using the vibrations of the massive amounts of feedback to play themselves.
